HUNTING INFORMATION
The ranch is comprised of over 10,000 acres
and offers hunting opportunities for
whitetail deer, Rio Grande wild turkey and
dove. Deer and turkey hunting packages
include meals and lodging in our 6 bedroom,
3 bath lodge which includes a game room and
entertainment room with big screen TV.
Our whitetail deer hunts are fully guided by
guides who have spent their entire lives on
this ranch. The whitetail hunts are offered
on a very limited basis with only 10 being
available each year. We will be hunting 4-5
year old bucks of the 125-150 class and up.
Most of the shooting will be inside of 200
yards. We use several different strategies
to be successful including hunting near
feeders, spot and stalk and rattling during
the rut. We conduct these hunts in November
and December each year. Advance booking is
highly recommended as returning guests make
this hunt year after year.
The turkey hunting is conducted during the
Texas spring season which usually opens
around April 1 of each year. Our ranch is
loaded with Rio Grande turkey and the
hunting is always good. Mature toms are the
target and adding and extra bird is an
option.
Dove hunting takes place in September of
each year. We plant milo and other grains to
keep the birds flying and the shooting is
nonstop! In past years our hunters have had
no problem at all getting their limit of 15
birds each day. We offer this hunt on a
daily fee basis which includes a hot lunch
at our lodge and cool drinks while hunting.
Hunting licenses are very reasonable and
available over the counter at any local
sporting goods stores. Cold storage and
processing facilities are available for your
use at the ranch. We can also arrange local
processing, taxidermy and shipping of your
game if you desire.
